Bertom Lake Day Tour

Putting in at Bertom Lake on the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi River, paddle up to Hay Meadow Lake to enjoy the wildlife (Bald Eagles, swans, Canadian geese and other water fowl) in this part of the Upper Mississippi Wildlife & Refuge. Then travel down stream to Balls Island (Waupeton Beach) for a break then paddle through the backwaters to McCartney access.

Open Water Tour

Starting at North Buena Vista, IA, kayak down the beautiful Mississippi River, stopping to enjoy the beaches of Waupeton and then on to Finley's Landing.

Kayak and Camp Trip

Try our McGregor Kayak camping adventure. See beautiful river bluffs, eagales and wildlife galore!
Day 1: Putting in north of Prairie Du Chien, kayak down to McGregor for an overnight stay in a river view hotel. Then have a bite to eat in a quaint little Iowa river town.
Day 2: Heading south out of McGregor down to one of the many sandy beaches to set up camp, cook out, swim and RELAX!
Day 3: Enjoy your final day of the trip by kayaking 3 miles south to Clayton or 12 miles to Guttenberg to conclude your adventure.

Bike/Kayak Adventure

Leaving northwest side of Dubuque by road bike. Bike Iowa's Mississippi River bluffs through the Durango, Graf, Bankston areas. Then travel north up to North Buena Vista for lunch. (32 miles) Kayak from North Buena Vista down to the Waupeton beach, for a swim, then finish with a short kayak run to Finley's landing. (Fully supported sag for biking.) Shorter and longer adventures available.
